Mercury Engine in CS6 will support Ati VGA cards

Mercury hardware acceleration engine will support AMD Ati Vga cards.

It is true… and it is official.

The new version of Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 will support hardware acceleration in AMD Ati Vga Cards. The Mercury engine will be extended and (finally)  support OpenCL libraries, meaning that AMD Ati Vga cards (at last) will be able to boost the processing of video editing inside Adobe Premiere Pro CS6.

As the article states, the OpenCL support will be available on some systems only (Mac OSX 10.7 with specific AMD Ati Vga Cards – the AMD Radeon HD 6750M and AMD Radeon HD 6770M graphics card with 1GB VRAM).

nVidia’s CUDA Engine will continue to be supported as usual.
